- Annual Colloquium
on Aging
The Institute offers an annual colloquium at which UW-Madison experts in
various aging fields present their research findings. This event includes
an address by an invited expert, presentation of awards to new investigators
in gerontology, and symposia providing updates on campus aging research.
The colloquium also offers faculty, postdoctoral fellows, trainees and graduate
students an opportunity to present posters of recent scientific findings.
Additionally, the colloquium offers a health fair featuring various health
and aging topics (i.e. Alternative Medicine, Alzheimer's Disease, Stroke
Prevention, Fitness, Care Options, etc.) as well as blood pressure
and bone density screening assessments. This program is free and open to

Concepts in Nutrition and Aging
The Institute is a sponsor and Planning Committee Member of this annual
conference. UW-Madison faculty and staff, along with professionals from
public and private entities, provide updates on the latest research and
clinical programs on nutrition and aging. The targeted audience includes
practitioners in nutrition, dietetics and nursing, but members from the
community also benefit from the wide variety of biomedical and psychosocial
perspectives covered at this conference. For

- Eloquence and
Eminence Lectures
The Institute is a co-sponsor of this lecture series which features talks
by emeritus faculty members from a wide range of UW- Madison departments.
The series is targeted to members of the community of all ages. These talks
are free and open to the public.
