Biomechanical Limitations to Walking Speed in Older Adults

Walking impairments, falls and fall-related injuries are common among the elderly. We are investigating the influence of age-related changes in sensorimotor function and musculoskeletal mechanics on walking performance and balance. Further, we are also exploring novel interventions to enhance sensory feedback and sensorimotor process underlying gait.
