I aim to better understand how cognitive and affective processes are connected and how they relate to well-being across the lifespan by examining the behavioral and neurological underpinnings of processes such as self-control, executive functioning, and emotion regulation. I use a variety of neuroscientific and psychophysiological approaches, including multiple magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) modalities, electroencephalography (EEG), facial electromyography (EMG), electrocardiography (ECG). My NRSA postdoctoral fellowship work focuses on the associations between loneliness, affect, and the brain.
