My research interests are in the broad areas of consciousness and wellbeing. I study brain structure and function using neuroimaging in the context of mind-body-environment interactions in the quest to promote brain health and wellbeing. My current research investigates factors that predict healthy aging and risk of dementia. My prior work used multimodal imaging methods to examine wellbeing in meditators of different levels of proficiency and their brain activity during rest, meditation, cognitive performance and sleep.

My work is deeply multi-disciplinary and collaborative. I work with researchers and clinicians with expertise in aging, well-being, immunology, fluid biomarkers, and neuroimaging.
