My research interests center around deciphering the nuanced relationship between emotional experiences and health, emphasizing the role of socio-psychological factors (e.g., culture). The foundation for this focus was laid during my prior research in emotion and health, and it has continued to evolve in my current postdoctoral position. Here, I employ the MIDUS data to rigorously examine the multifaceted links between emotional well-being, brain aging and health among older adults. I seek to illuminate how chronic emotional patterns correlate with brain functionality using methodologies from neuroscience (e.g., resting-state fMRI), and to understand their implications for long-term health outcomes.
